April 15, under the leadership of Shanghai Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the delegation of Australian Xin Jin Shan Chinese School, head by Mr. Sun Haoliang, visited Shanghai Open University to discuss cooperation with the Institute of International Exchange.

During the meeting of discussing cooperation, Professor Liu Wenfu, dean of the Institute of International Exchange, introduced the progress and outcomes on teaching Chinese as a foreign language and web-resource development of SOU in four aspects. Mr. Sun Haoliang showed his intention in cooperation with SOU in the field of the re-development of resource pool and the development of Chinese culture courses. He also pointed out that Shanghai Open University has the unparallel advantages in terms of technology and resources, and he hoped to produce a serial of courses, DVDs and courseware on Chinese culture through cooperation in order to promote the development of both parties. In the afternoon, Xin Jin Shan delegation visited Shanghai Education Resource Centre.
