Recently, a delegation led by Han Wei, Vice Chairman of the Elderly Affairs Committee of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and Director of the Social Work Bureau, visited the Shanghai University for The Elderly. The delegation was accompanied by staff from the Shanghai Municipal Government's Hong Kong and Macao Office, the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau's Scientific Research and International Exchange Center, and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office. The leaders of the Shanghai University for The Elderly and relevant personnel participated in the visit.

The meeting was chaired by Zheng Yihui, Vice President of SOU and President of Shanghai University for The Elderly. He welcomed the delegation and expressed anticipation for future cooperation and exchange in elderly services, especially in the field of digital empowerment for senior education. Han Wei introduced the overview of elderly services in Macao, and he hopes that both sides can further cooperate in the fields of remote education resources and research on the needs of the elderly.

Before the meeting, the delegation also visited the Qinzhou Academy to gain a deeper understanding of the teaching environment of Shanghai University for The Elderly.
